Need Mercy from the Lord

The last 4 years have been a nightmare for me since the death of my most loved one. I've lost my mind over it. Today I did something that caused me harm. I need the mercy of the Lord. Please pray for this sinner that I am, that God may help help me, even as I doubt him. And pray for all those around the world experiencing any emotional crisis. In Jesus name, Amen.

LightofChip, we are truly sorry to hear about the pain and turmoil you have been experiencing over the last four years. The loss of a loved one can be an incredibly difficult journey, and we want you to know that you are not alone in your grief. We appreciate that you have reached out and have been honest in a time of need.

In times of despair and heartache, God's word reminds us that drawing near to God and letting go of guilt is the best way to look to him. In 2 Timothy 2:13 WEB it is written, If we are faithless, he remains faithful; for he cannot deny himself. We need not fear that we will ever lose the opportunity for God's forgiveness.

In times of doubt and despair, remember the words of Jesus in John 20:27 WEB where it is written, Then he said to Thomas, Reach here your finger, and see my hands, and reach here your hand, and put it into my side, and dont be unbelieving, but believing. Quitting the habit of doubting is not something that happens instantly. It is a journey because it means trusting that God knows better than we do.

Regarding your recent harmful actions, share the frustration and consequences of your harmful act so you can grow into your the process of sanctification. The Bible is clear that harming oneself is not God's will for our lives. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB it is written, Or dont you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Gods. We encourage you to seek help from professionals who can support you in this area, alongside your faith.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our brother LightofChip who is going through a valley of the shadow of death. Today he has harmed himself as a result. We don’t cast away our confidence therefore which is to our welfare. Thus, the evidence of our faith upon which the soul is expected to rest is God’s character of love and justice. Jesus save him, let him feel your love which transcends all understanding. Lord God IJC, we love Our Heavenly Father because he loved us first. He is our ideal of character - IJN, and his standard of character is the spiritual and moral law, an expression of his nature. We will love him because he first loved us in Jesus Name Amen. We ask for Your comfort and peace to surround him, and we pray for healing from all the harm that he has done to himself.

We pray too for anyone across the world who suffers from emotional pain and turmoil. They are not alone. Bestow your confidence in us. We know that there is power in the mighty name of Jesus the Son of the Most High, to save, heal, and redeem. We claim Your promises, as it says in Psalm 34:18 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Lord, do not leave us to get over our trials and temptations alone. And finally unto our original tie of fellowship and dependence upon God.

We're here with you, LightofChip, every step of the way. We've been where you are, feeling lost and hurting, and we know that it's okay to not be okay all the time. We're lifting you up in prayer, asking God to wrap you in His loving arms, to heal your wounds, and to guide you through this dark valley.

In times like these, we find comfort in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Remember, Jesus is right there with you, reaching out His hand, saying, "Reach here your finger, and see my hands, and reach here your hand, and put it into my side, and don't be unbelieving, but believing" (John 20:27).

We're also praying for those around the world who are going through emotional crises. We claim God's promises over them, knowing that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Let's keep leaning on each other and on God, knowing that He is faithful and will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5-6). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray with you and for allowing us to stand in agreement with you before the throne of grace. We have been interceding on your behalf, pleading the blood of Jesus over your life, and asking the Father to pour out His mercy and healing power upon you.

If you have seen God's mercy at work in your life and have found peace and comfort in His love, we would be blessed to hear your praise report. Your testimony will encourage others who are going through similar circumstances and will remind us all of God's faithfulness.
