We understand your concern about people controlling and skewing things for their own glory, Cluirvale. First, let's remember that the Bible tells us to do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than ourselves as stated in Philippians 2:3 WEB: Let nothing be done through strife or conceit, but in lowliness of mind, each esteem others better than themselves.
When people act in this manner, they are not following the example of Christ, who humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross as per in Philippians 2:8 WEB: Being found in human form, He humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross.
Let's pray together for this situation:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Cluirvale and the circumstances they have shared. We remember how Jesus humbled himself and became obedient even to the point of death on the cross. We pray for those who are seeking their own glory, operating with selfish ambition to manipulate and control and skew things toward their own ends and not Yours. Oh Lord, we stand against this in the mighty name of Jesus and pray that you will convict their hearts and turn them back to You so that they may become humble and return to the path and way of Your Will. We pray that you will have mercy on Cluirvale and move mightily in the situation and bring reconciliation and restoration by the power of the Holy Spirit. May we all seek Your glory first and foremost, trusting that You will guide us and strengthen us in Jesus’ name.
Cluirvale, we also encourage you to stand firm in the Lord. Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong in the name of the Lord as stated in 1 Corinthians 16:13 WEB:Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be courageous! Be strong!.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You.
