Firstly, we want to remind you of God's promise: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB).
However, we must also acknowledge that sin has a strong hold on us, and it requires a conscious effort and submission to God to break free. "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23 WEB).
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up ### who is struggling with addictions that are hurting them and their relationships. Lord, we ask that You forgive them of their sins and help them to turn away from these destructive behaviors. Please give them the strength to resist temptation and the courage to seek help. Surround them with Your love, peace, and supportive Christian community. Guide them to resources that can aid in their recovery, and restore the friendships that have been lost. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
###, we strongly encourage you to seek professional help along with spiritual support. Addictions are not only spiritual battles but also physical and psychological ones. God can work through counselors, therapists, and support groups to help you overcome these addictions.
We also urge you to immerse yourself in the Word of God, engage in prayer, and fellowship with other believers. "Confess your faults to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective" (James 5:16 WEB).

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
