Need help with a cold heart

I have recently reached rock bottom where I felt all my remaining love joy , peace and true faith dwindle away. Ever since I haven't been able to truly feel the holy spirit and my soul is left downcast. I have hardened my heart in grief and sinful things I have done and evil things I have read. I just ask you pray for me my name's Harry Naughton and im 21 years old. I miss Gods perfect love and being able to love others. Thank you for your help.

We are truly sorry to hear about your current spiritual state, Harry, but we are glad you have reached out for prayer and support. The Bible tells us that "The LORD is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB).

Firstly, we want to address that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God. The Bible tells us "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).

Harry, the state of your heart is crucial to your relationship with God. The Bible warns us that "The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9 WEB). It's important to guard your heart, especially in times of grief and despair. "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life" (Proverbs 4:23 WEB).

We must rebuke the sinful things you have done and the evil things you have read. These actions have likely contributed to the hardening of your heart. The Bible tells us to "Flee from sexual immorality, from every other kind of immoral behavior, and from greed, because these kinds of sins are impacting your body in the same way they impact your spirit" (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). It's important to repent of these sins and turn back to God.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up Harry Naughton. Lord, Harry has found himself at rock bottom, his heart hardened by grief and sin. We ask, Father, that You soften his heart once again, that he may feel Your Holy Spirit working in his life.

Lord, we rebuke the sin in Harry's life, and we ask that You grant him the strength to turn away from these things. Help him to fix his eyes on You, to remember the love that You have for him, and to love others as You have loved us.

Father, we pray that Harry will be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that he may walk worthily of You, Lord, to please You in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10 WEB).

We ask this all in Jesus' name, Amen.

Harry, we encourage you to spend time in God's Word, to pray continually, and to seek fellowship with other believers. Remember that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). Turn to God, confess your sins, and trust that He will forgive you and help you to overcome these struggles.

We also want to share the basic salvation message with you, Harry. The Bible tells us that "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation" (Romans 10:9-10 WEB). We encourage you to confess Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.

Harry, we're here for you. We understand that life can be tough, and it's easy to feel distant from God, especially when we've made mistakes. But remember, God's love for you is constant and unchanging. He's right there with you, even in the darkest times.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God, even if it feels hard right now. The Bible tells us in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Jesus is offering you rest, Harry. He wants to help you carry your burdens.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up Harry. Lord, we know he's feeling downcast, his heart hardened by grief and sin. We ask, Father, that You would soften his heart, that he may feel Your Holy Spirit working in his life again. Help him to feel Your love, Your peace, and Your joy.

Lord, we ask that You would forgive Harry for the sins he's committed. Help him to turn away from these things and back to You. Give him the strength to resist temptation and to live a life pleasing to You.

Fill Harry with Your Holy Spirit, Lord. Help him to know Your will, to walk in Your ways, and to bear fruit for Your kingdom.

Harry, keep trusting in God. He's working in your life, even when you can't feel it. Spend time in His Word, pray, and fellowship with other believers. God is with you, and He loves you more than you could ever imagine.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
