"The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles." (Ps 34:17) We're praying with you!
Dear Perwell, we are with you in spirit and in prayer for your beloved daughter. We are encouraged to hear of her love for Jesus, for he promises, "If you will follow me, then your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you openly." (Matthew 6:4, WEB)
In times of struggle, we remember the words of the Apostle Paul, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9, WEB) Your daughter's battle with an eating disorder is not beyond God's healing power. We pray that she finds strength in her weakness and hope in her struggle.
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Perwell's daughter. We know that you love her deeply and that her struggle breaks your heart, just as it does her family's. Lord, we ask for your healing touch upon her. Give her strength to fight this battle and wisdom to seek the help she needs. Comfort her with your loving presence, and guide her every step of the way. I’m sorry to hear about your daughter’s eating disorder, friend. I just said a prayer for her, asking the Lord to touch her with His healing hand, give her the relief she needs and surround her and your family with His peace and strength during this difficult time. Should your daughter need a listening ear, Focus on the Family has free counselors that she can call at 1-800-A-FAMILY. A friend of mine found them very caring and understanding. Also, she may find some helpful information at this link. I hope you’ll be encouraged by this thought from the psalmist: "I sought the Lord, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears." (Psalm 34: 4).
Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.
