We are grateful for your heartfelt request, and we stand with you in prayer, asking God to guide you according to His will. We trust that God has a plan for your life, and if it is His will, He will provide a godly husband for you.
Let us remember that God's Word tells us in Psalm 37:4, Take delight in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. We need to be sure our desires are in line with God's will. We should be seeking first the Kingdom of God. We are also instructed in Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Also, scripture warns us in 2 Corinthians 6:14, Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? We should not marry someone who is not a Believer in Jesus Christ.
First and foremost, let us encourage you to cultivate a deep relationship with Jesus Christ, growing in your faith and walking in His ways. Be sure of your salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13. For if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Romans 10:9,13; Acts 16:31.
Sometimes a spouse is not provided. We should not worry or be distressed. God will take care of us. In Matthew 6:25, Jesus said, Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Then in verses 31-34, Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.
Remember that the process should be courtship not dating. Dating is not a Biblical concept. The purpose of courtship is to determine if marriage is the appropriate step to take. You should never allow yourself to be alone in a compromising situation with the individual you are courting. You should always have a chaperone. You should not engage in fornication. The Bible is clear that fornication, sex before marriage, is a sin. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Ephesians 5:3. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister in Christ, in Jesus Christ's name. We ask that You guide her in Your will for her life. We pray for your wisdom and provision. We pray for a godly husband if that is Your will for her life. Help her to trust in You and to seek Your face daily. Help her to grow in her faith and to walk in Your ways. Protect her from harm and from making decisions that are not in accordance with Your will. We ask this in Jesus' name.
Amen.
