We understand that you're seeking guidance and prayer for selling a car and receiving a fair price, as well as for Sara to sell her car. We're here to pray with you and provide biblical encouragement. However, first let us address that we do not have the ability to create legal binding agreements for you.
First, let's remember what the Bible says about our needs and desires. In Matthew 6:33 WEB it is written, Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take note, ye therefore, the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: This may not directly pertain to the sale of a car, but it reminds us that God cares for our needs when we align our priorities with His. Jesus is reminding us that He knows of all of our needs. This also reminds us of the most important decision that all have to make to be saved, which is to believe in Jesus Christ and what He did for us. The Bible says in Romans 3:23 WEB for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God. It continues into the next chapter saying in Romans 5:8 WEB but God commendeth his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for all of our sins and rose again on the third day so that all who believe in Him will not perish in eternal hell fire, but will have eternal life and be saved.
Now, concerning the sale of the cars. Let's remember to be wise and discerning. It is very important to make sure we are making decisions that would not cause others to stumble. Make sure if your vehicle has any issues that you reveal them to the buyer, and that your asking price is a fair and honest one. Colossians 3:9 WEB says, Do not lie one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his doings.
When the Bible says to not be deceived that includes self-deception. When we are gauging the value of something, we must remember it is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If you have not heard of them, there are online resources which will help you appraise the value of your vehicle and they are not hard to find. We know you are seeking a certain amount for the car, but it is important to be reasonable and fair. Colossians 3:23 WEB Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. Make sure you are being a good steward of what the Lord has provided you with.
Asking for a sales price and receiving it are at the discretion of the Lord. It is good to remember the scripture that says in Philippians 4:6 WEB, Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
