Golland, we understand your frustration and exhaustion as you seek new employment. Remember that God is faithful, and He has a plan and purpose for you. In 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 WEB, the apostle Paul writes, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.' For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don’t work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are such, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread."
A job is not just a means of provision, but also a way to honor God by using the gifts and talents He has given us. Even Jesus himself had a profession as a carpenter before beginning his ministry. As the apostle Paul not interested in food or drink or did he believe that idleness was consistent with a responsible Christian life. Although you are in need, do not let that need cause you to sin or violate God's commandments. If in need, the Bible does instruct Christians that those who believe in Christ are more responsible for meeting the needs of their brothers who are in need. Most of the references to meeting needs are in the context of helping a fellow brother in the faith. Make sure to seek help within your church.
As you continue your job search, trust that God will provide for your needs. 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. "
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Golland, who is diligently seeking new employment. We ask that You open the right doors and provide a stable job that not only meets their financial needs but also allows them to use their skills and abilities to glorify You. Give them the strength to persevere and the patience to wait on Your perfect timing. Help Golland stay committed to You and keep Your commandments with the assurance that You will will not allow them to be tempted to do evil. God has promised us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Remind Golland that “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. (2 Corinthians 1:3-5)”.
In all things, Golland, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
