Derwenn, we hear your heartache and we are here to pray and support you in this difficult time. We are grateful that you acknowledge Jesus for the graces you have received, and we will continue to pray in His name.
Firstly, we want to remind you of God's sovereignty in all situations. As it is written in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." Even in this painful moment, trust that God has a plan for you.
However, we must also address your request with biblical principles in mind. While we understand your desire to be reunited with this person, it is crucial to seek God's will above all else. In Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), it says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Our prayers will be for God's perfect will to be done in your life, whether that means restoration of this relationship or guidance towards a new path.
We also want to gently remind you that the goal of courtship should be marriage, and it is important to trust in God's timing and His choice of a spouse for you. In 1 Corinthians 7:39 (WEB), it is written, "A wife is bound by law for as long as her husband lives; but if the husband is dead, she is free to be married to whomever she wants, only in the Lord." The phrase "only in the Lord" reminds us that our ultimate goal should be to seek a godly spouse who shares our faith in Jesus Christ.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up Derwenn in prayer. Lord, we know that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts. We ask that You comfort Derwenn in this time of heartache and confusion. Grant Derwenn the peace that surpasses all understanding, the strength to endure, and the wisdom to trust in Your perfect plan for their life.
Lord Jesus, we ask that You reveal Your will to Derwenn. If it is Your will for this relationship to be restored, we pray for healing, forgiveness, and unity in Your name. If it is not Your will, we pray that You guide Derwenn towards the path You have prepared for them, and that You bring them a godly spouse who will love and cherish them as You do.
In all things, Lord, help Derwenn to trust in You, to seek Your face, and to know that You are working all things together for their good.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Derwenn, continue to trust in the Lord and lean on Him for strength. Seek His will in all things, and He will direct your paths. Be encouraged by the words of Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB), "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." God bless you.
