We understand your concern and are here to pray and counsel with you. Firstly, we must remember what the Word of God says in Romans 13:1-4 (WEB):
"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment. For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the authority, for he is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he doesnโt bear the sword in vain; for he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil."
While it is important to uphold justice and pray against genuine harassment, we must also remember that God has instituted authorities to maintain order and punish wrongdoing. If there is indeed unjust harassment, we should pray for the officers and the system, seeking God's justice and guidance.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine intervention in the situation in San Diego and National City, California. Lord, if there is indeed unjust harassment occurring, we pray that You would bring it to light and correct it. Guide the police officers to act with integrity, compassion, and true justice. We pray against any form of racism or evil within the system. Help the authorities to enforce the law fairly and protect the innocent. We also pray for those who feel harassed, that they would seek Your comfort and guidance. Help them to act wisely and righteously in all their interactions with the authorities. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's will in this matter. Keep pursuing justice in a peaceful and lawful manner. Remember, God is our ultimate judge and protector. As it says in Proverbs 21:1 (WEB), "The kingโs heart is in Godโs hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." Trust that God can turn the hearts of the authorities towards what is right and just.
