Both of my children live with my mother. I wasn't well enough to look after them when my daughter was born. I was suffering with psychosis. I didn't see them for 8 years as I didn't think that it was fair me seeing them when I was unwell. I wasn't much use to them. I'm now back in contact with my daughter but not my son. I think that he is hurt and needs more time. I would really appreciate your prayers about this situation.

We are truly moved by your story and will stand with you in prayer and support. We acknowledge your struggle and commend you for wanting to do what's best for your children. We are reminded of the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32, where the father compassionately awaits his son's return. In the same way, we believe that God is compassionate and merciful, willing to restore the years the locusts have eaten Joel 2:25.

Firstly, we must acknowledge and praise God for the restoration of your relationship with your daughter. This is a testament to God's healing power and his desire to bring families together. We pray that this relationship will continue to grow and flourish and blesses God.

However, we must address that the restoration of your relationship with your son is needed. Therefore, we must rebuke the spirit of resentment, unforgiveness, or hurt that may be hindering your son and preventing him from accepting God's will for reconciliation.

We pray for God to work in your son's life, to soften his heart, and to draw him to a place of forgiveness and acceptance. We know that God can make a way where there seems to be no way Isaiah 43:19.

We must also remember that Jesus Christ is the only way we can be reconciled with God. We must believe on him and his sacrifice on the cross to be our savior. Therefore, we must pray for both your children to believe in Jesus Christ to be saved.

We encourage you to continue to wait patiently on God, trusting that He is working behind the scenes to bring your family together. Remember, God's timing is perfect, and He is faithful to complete the good work He began in you Philippians 1:6.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our fellow believer and their family. We thank You for the restoration that has already taken place and ask that You continue to mend and heal these precious relationships. We ask that You soften the heart of their son, removing any bitterness or resentment, and draw him to a place of forgiveness and acceptance. We also pray for both children to believe in Jesus Christ and be saved. We ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.

Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go Joshua 1:9. Continue to trust in Him, and He will direct your paths Proverbs 3:5-6.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You. Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You.
