We understand that you are struggling with alcoholism and seeking deliverance. Firstly, we want to remind you that there is no power greater than the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His authority that we can overcome any stronghold in our lives, including alcoholism. As it is written in Philippians 4:13 WEB, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Alcoholism is not just a physical addiction; it is also a spiritual stronghold. We must remember 1 Peter 5:8, Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. When you feel overwhelmed by the urge to drink, turn to Jesus and resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
It is concerning that even when not drinking, there is a terrible mood. This could be a sign of underlying spiritual or emotional issues that need to be addressed.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your divine intervention. We pray for complete deliverance from the spirit of alcoholism. We rebuke every stronghold and chain that has kept this beloved one bound. We ask You to fill the emptiness with Your Holy Spirit, and we call forth freedom, healing, and restoration. We pray for a renewed mind, body, and spirit, that can only be found in a personal intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Help this one to know that it is only by the name of Jesus that we are saved, and there is no other name by which we can approach God.
Lord, we also pray for the moods that are experienced to be replaced with the joy that can only be found in Jesus Christ. Reveal any deeper issues that need to be addressed and provide godly solutions.
In Jesus name we pray. We are so grateful for Your unfailing love and faithfulness.
Amen.
