We are sorry to hear about the difficult situation you are facing. First, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is written in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. and Acts 4:12 WEB There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
We will pray for you as you prepare to visit this person, and we encourage you to approach this situation with love, forgiveness, and wisdom. Remember, it is not our place to judge or condemn anyone, but to show them the love of Christ. As it is written in Matthew 7:1-2 WEB Do not judge, so that you will not be judged. For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you. Think about whether this is a godly acquaintance or if there was a reason you have not talked in years. Did you put God first in this relationship and was it aligned with biblical principles?
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister, who is preparing to visit someone they have not spoken to in years. We pray that Your love, guidance, and wisdom will flow through them during this visit. We ask that You soften the hearts of both parties, and that any past hurts or offenses would be forgiven and healed. We rebuke any darkness or strife to separate the parties from God. We also pray for protection if this is not a godly relationship.
Please help them to be a light that shines for You, Lord, and that their words and actions would bring glory to Your name. We ask that You would give them courage, strength, and discernment as they navigate this situation, and that Your will would be done. In Jesus name. Amen.
