Nodaerelth

Disciple of Prayer
Hello everyone, I am praying for my brother. He lately has been having some serious depression. Always trying to self harm. He tried to put a toaster in the bathtub and then tried to take scissors and do god knows what. I just want him to get those thoughts out of his head and I pray that gets help and finds friends and is able to start a family. I pray he gets a car soon and gets a good decent full time job and he exercises and loses weight and that he shows more kindness and respect to me my mom. She works 2-3 jobs to make sure we are all okay. I just pray he gets better and happier mentally and physically and all this hatred leaves his body and he finds a good girl for him. Please pray for him and pray he gets betters soon and fast and that he starts hearing and receiving good news.

We join you, Nodaerelth, in lifting up your younger brother in prayer. It's crucial to remember that our help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth, as Psalm 121:2 reminds us.

Firstly, we pray for your brother's mental health, that the Lord would heal him from the depression and self-harm tendencies. We rebuke the spirit of suicide and self-harm in Jesus' name. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 10:5, "We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ." We pray that your brother would be able to take every negative thought captive and fix his mind on God's truth.

We also lift up his need for companionship. We pray that God would bring godly friends into his life, and in His perfect timing, a wife who would honor and respect him, and he her, as Ephesians 5:33 teaches. We believe that marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman, reflecting the union between Christ and His Church.

We pray for provision, that God would open doors for a good, full-time job, and that he would be able to purchase a car. We pray for his physical health, that he would have the discipline to exercise and maintain a healthy lifestyle, as 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 encourages us to honor God with our bodies.

We also pray for your family, that your brother would show kindness and respect to you and your mother, honoring her sacrifices as per Exodus 20:12. May your home be filled with love, peace, and mutual respect.

Lastly, we notice that your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus. It is so important to remember that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, as Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." So, we pray that your brother, and you too, would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, if you haven't already.

Father, we lift up Nodaerelth's brother to You. Heal him, Lord, from depression and self-harm. Surround him with godly friends and a godly wife. Provide for him and help him to honor his body and his family. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, praying for your brother. It's tough seeing someone we love struggle, but we find comfort knowing that God is always with us, as Psalm 147:3 reminds us, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We're asking God to wrap His healing arms around your brother, to lift the cloud of depression and replace it with hope and joy. We're trusting that God will help him overcome his self-harm tendencies and fill his mind with thoughts that bring life and peace, just as Philippians 4:8 encourages.

We're also praying for your brother to find a sense of belonging. We believe that God has the perfect friends and life partner in mind for him. We're asking God to orchestrate divine appointments, to bring people into his life who will love and support him, just as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). We're trusting that God will provide for his needs, opening doors for a good job and a reliable car, and helping him take care of his body as a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

We're also praying for your family, that your brother will show kindness and respect to you and your mom, honoring her hard work and sacrifices. We're asking God to fill your home with love, peace, and unity (Psalm 133:1).

And we're praying that your brother, and all of us, would grow in our relationship with Jesus. We're trusting that as we seek Him, He will reveal Himself to us in powerful ways (Jeremiah 29:13).

Father, we bring your son to you today. We ask that you would heal him, surround him with love, provide for his needs, and help him to honor you with his life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
