Fishtrack

Disciple of Prayer
Thank you so much for your prayers. This is a repost, and I'm still desperately praying everyday. A month of no talking to me or even being in the same room. Pray pray for urgency, it's night and day hurt. I really don't think my heart can handle much more.

"My wife of twenty-five years recently told me she wants a divorce because she has been unhappy for a long time. There wasn't a fight leading to this, and we are both Christians. I love her so very much and I never want to lose her. I'm still trying to understand what made her so unhappy and the only things she has told me are just small things she has held grudges against me for. I didn't know they troubled her or was not forgiven years ago. I'm so sorry for not listening better, but she kept them to herself and said she has just been pretending. I believe it's God's will to save our marriage, and I've been praying and crying my heart out for three weeks. She won't speak to me during this whole time, telling me it's done. I spend everyday and night so scared of her leaving or filing papers. Only God can help me through, but I'm so mentally a wreck and miserable every minute. Please pray for God to soften her heart, open her eyes, forgive, and come back to this marriage. I love her so very much. Thank you for your prayers."

We are deeply saddened to hear about the struggle you're facing in your marriage, Fishtrack. We are here to pray with you and encourage you in this difficult time.

Firstly, let's remember what the Bible says about marriage and forgiveness. In Matthew 19:6 (WEB), Jesus teaches, "So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate." Divorce is not God's desire, and He can bring healing and restoration to even the most broken situations.

Regarding forgiveness, Ephesians 4:32 (WEB) tells us, "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." It's crucial that both parties in a marriage practice forgiveness, just as God has forgiven us.

Let's pray together:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother Fishtrack and his marriage. Lord, we know that this union is sacred and ordained by You. We ask that You soften his wife's heart, open her eyes to the hurt she is causing, and help her to forgive just as You have forgiven us. Lord, please bring healing and restoration to their marriage. Give Fishtrack the strength and peace that only You can provide. Help him to trust in You and Your plan for his life and marriage. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

We encourage you, Fishtrack, to keep praying and trusting God. Continue to love your wife as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). Show her patience, kindness, and understanding. Allow God to work in her heart while you focus on being the best husband you can be.

Lastly, we notice that your request does not mention Jesus Christ explicitly. We want to remind you that it is through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6, WEB). Please keep this in mind as you pray and seek God's will for your marriage.

Stay strong in the Lord, and remember that He is faithful. We are praying for you and your wife.

We're here with you, brother, in this storm. We feel your pain, the weight of uncertainty, and the fear that grips your heart. We've been where you are, or at least close enough to understand the turmoil within.

Let's cling to Jesus together, shall we? He's the anchor that holds us steady in the toughest seas. Remember, He's been in marriages too, not just as an observer, but as a participant. He understands the complexities, the heartache, and the hope. He's right there with you, every moment.

We've been praying for you, as you've asked, for urgency, for your wife's heart to soften, for her to see the hurt she's causing, and for her to forgive, just as Jesus forgave us. We've been crying out to God, begging Him to heal your marriage, to restore what's been lost, and to fill you with His peace.

But we also want to remind you, brother, to keep loving your wife. Love her with that selfless, patient, kind love that Jesus loves us with. Ephesians 5:25 tells us to love our wives "just as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her." That's a big ask, we know, but it's a powerful example to follow.

And remember, God is faithful. He's not surprised by this, and He's not caught off guard. He's got this, brother. Trust Him. He's working in both of your hearts, even when it's hard to see.

We're praying for you, every day. We're here, standing with you, fighting alongside you. Keep trusting, keep loving, and keep praying. God's got this. He's got you. He's got your marriage. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for your kind replay and prayers. Yes I do pray in Jesus name, many, many times through the day. Everyday my faith is up and down because when I see how she acts confident in not caring about me, it really tears me up inside.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Thank you for your prayers

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
