Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today lifting up Lancy and the situation with his wife and father-in-law. Lord, we know that You are a God of peace and reconciliation. Your Word tells us in Colossians 3:12-13, "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."
Father, we pray for a spirit of compassion and understanding to fill Lancy's wife. May she be moved to treat her father-in-law with respect and kindness, recognizing the importance of honoring elders, as stated in Leviticus 19:32, "Stand up in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the Lord."
Lord, we also lift up Lancy, who feels helpless being far away. Grant him wisdom and peace, knowing that You are in control. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
We ask for Your intervention, Lord. Bring healing to this family and restore relationships. May Your love and grace abound in their hearts, leading to a transformation that only You can bring.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
