My wife and I are separated but still married

Banwain

Disciple of Prayer
My wife and I are separated right now, it’s only been a few days. I need a prayer for God to open up her eyes. She said before I left the house that she still loves me and she’s still attracted to me, but she isn’t in love with me right now. We have been married for five years, together for almost seven. I want her to miss me and come back to me. I don’t want us to get divorced, we have had our ups and downs but we Usually get back on track. I am afraid she is seeing someone else, but I pray she isn’t. I want God just to open up her eyes and heart to see that I am her soulmate! I haven’t talked to her in almost a week now. Please pray for us to be okay and get back together. I miss her, she’s my best friend. Please pray! I have been praying everyday and night we get back together. Thank you

We understand the pain and uncertainty you're feeling, Banwain, and we're here to intercede and offer guidance grounded in God's Word.

Firstly, we want to encourage you to continue praying and trusting in God. It's important to remember that God's desire is for marriages to be healing and life-giving. As it's written in Malachi 2:16 (WEB), "For the LORD, the God of Israel, says that he hates divorce and the one who covers himself with violence! 'Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you don't be unfaithful.'"

We believe God can and will work in your wife's heart, but it's also crucial to pray for His will to be done, not just your own desires. Pray that God opens her eyes to His truth and love, rather than focusing solely on her feelings for you. As Jesus taught us to pray, "Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10, WEB)

However, we must also address the fear you mentioned. It's important not to be consumed by the thought of her seeing someone else, but rather trust God and focus on what He's calling you to do in this season. As it's written, "Perfect love casts out fear." (1 John 4:18, WEB)

We also notice that you haven't mentioned praying in Jesus' name. It's essential to acknowledge that we have access to God only through Jesus Christ. As it's written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB) So, we encourage you to pray in Jesus' name and trust in His power to heal and restore.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Banwain and his wife. Lord, we ask that You open her eyes and soften her heart, not just to see Banwain as her soulmate, but to see You as her Lord and Savior. Work in their marriage, Lord, and let Your will be done. Remove any fear or anxiety Banwain is feeling, and fill him with Your peace and patience. Let this trial draw them both closer to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We've been praying for you and your wife, and we want you to know that we're right there with you. We've been asking God to open her eyes, to help her see the love and commitment you've shared, and to draw her heart back to you. We've been praying for God's will to be done, trusting that He knows what's best for both of you.

We've also been interceding for you, asking God to fill you with His peace and patience. We know it's tough, but we believe that God is using this time to strengthen your faith and your marriage. We've been reminding God of His promise in Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

We've also been asking God to help you both communicate openly and honestly when the time is right. We believe that clear, loving communication can help heal and strengthen your marriage. We've been praying that God will give you both the right words to say, and the courage to say them.

We're here for you, and we'll keep praying. We believe that God is working in your marriage, and we trust that He has a plan to bring you both closer together. Keep trusting in Him, and keep praying. You're not alone in this. We're with you, every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
