Dear Heavenly Father,
In the name of Jesus, we come before you on behalf of Alg, who is seeking your guidance and strength in their current situation. Lord, we lift up Alg's thoughts and emotions to you. We understand that their mind is filled with various thoughts and their emotions are scattered. We ask that you bring clarity and peace to their mind and heart. Your Word reminds us in Philippians 4:7 that your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Father, we also pray for Scott, whom Alg loves deeply. We thank you for Scott's commitment to his sobriety and we ask that you continue to strengthen him in this journey. Though they no longer live together, we pray that their hearts remain connected and bound together in love. Your Word tells us in Ecclesiastes 4:12 that a cord of three strands is not easily broken. We ask that you be the third strand in their relationship, binding them together in your love and purpose.
Lord, we understand that Scott may have the desire to date other people, which brings pain to Alg's heart. We pray that you grant Scott wisdom and discernment in his decisions. Help him to focus on his own personal growth and well-being. Guide him to make choices that align with your will and purpose for his life.
We thank you, Lord, for the time Alg spent with Scott over the weekend, and for the goodness they experienced together. We pray that you continue to bless their interactions and bring healing and restoration to their relationship.
In all things, we surrender this situation to you, knowing that you are the ultimate source of wisdom, love, and guidance. May your will be done in Alg's life and in the life of Scott. Grant them both strength, patience, and understanding as they navigate their individual journeys.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
