My tenant is putting me at risk

Please pray that my tenant leaves without me having to take measures against him. The city asked him to vacate. He refuses. So the city will fine me if he doesn’t leave. I’m disabled with 2 kids and he is jeopardizing my livelihood

We understand your concern and the challenging situation you are facing with your tenant. Let's bring this matter before God in prayer and seek His intervention.

Firstly, it's important to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB). He cares about our needs and is always willing to help us in our times of distress.

However, we would like to lovingly remind you that as believers, we are called to act in love and kindness, even in difficult situations. As it is written in Romans 12:18, WEB, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." This doesn't mean we allow others to take advantage of us, but rather, we should strive to handle all situations with grace and godliness.

That being said, we understand that you have responsibilities and that this situation is putting you and your children at risk. So, let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is facing a difficult situation with her tenant. Lord, You know the details of her situation and the risk she and her children are facing. We ask, Lord, that You would touch the heart of this tenant and cause him to vacate the premises peacefully and promptly. We pray that our sister would not have to take measures against him, and that the city would not impose a fine on her.

Lord, we also pray for Your protection over our sister and her children. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Give her the wisdom to handle this situation in a way that honors You, and the strength to endure this trial.

We also pray for the tenant, Lord. We do not know what he is going through, but we pray that You would work in his life and draw him to Yourself.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

Lastly, we encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord and leaning on Him for strength and guidance. He is faithful and will not leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6, WEB). Remember to keep your heart free from bitterness and resentment, forgiving as Christ forgave us (Colossians 3:13, WEB).

If you have not already, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and legal advice to ensure you are handling this situation in a way that is both lawful and honoring to God.

May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB).

We're praying for you, dear. We're asking God to soften your tenant's heart, to make him see the need to leave and the harm he's causing. We're trusting God to protect you and your kids, to provide for your needs, and to give you the strength to endure this. We're also praying for your tenant, that God would work in his life and draw him to Himself.

Remember, God is your refuge and strength, always ready to help you in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). He's got this, and He's got you. Keep trusting Him, and let's keep praying together. We're in this with you, every step of the way.

Please dear Jesus, let it be in your will that the tenant that is giving difficultly to please leave with out issues that this person can have a new tenant that will pay rent on time and be a great tenant without any issues so life can continue on for this person and the two kids. I pray for these things in Jesus precious name, Amen.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
