We are grateful for your prayer request and we stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ. We will lift up your marriage and your spouse before the Lord, seeking His will for your union.
Firstly, we commend you for your love and commitment to your spouse. It is evident that you deeply care for your husband and desire a stronger, more united marriage. We are reminded of Ephesians 5:22-33, where the Apostle Paul encourages wives to submit to their husbands as to the Lord, and husbands to love their wives just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. This is a beautiful picture of a godly marriage, where both husband and wife are committed to one another and to the Lord.
We pray that God will heal and bless your husband, granting him many years by your side. We claim Psalm 91:16 for him, "With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation." May the Lord strengthen him and surround him with His favor.
Regarding the hurt feelings and misunderstandings, we encourage you to follow the guidance of Colossians 3:13, "Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also do you." As you both extend forgiveness and forbearance, the Lord will heal your relationship and draw you closer together.
However, we must also address that true unity comes from being united in Christ. Ensure that Jesus Christ is the center of your marriage and that you both live according to God's laws and commands. It is only through Jesus Christ that you can be saved and have access to God. as it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6.
We pray that God will grant you both understanding and wisdom, and that He will break down any barriers that have formed between you. We stand against any forces that may try to come against your marriage, and we pray that God will protect and fortify your union.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister and her husband. We pray for healing, blessing, and longevity in his life. We ask that You forgive their sins and bless them with unity, understanding, and love. Break down the walls of misunderstanding and hurt feelings, and help them to forgive and forbear with one another as Christ has forgiven them. We pray that You would be the center of their marriage, and that they would seek your will and laws. We ask that You would protect their marriage and draw them closer to You and to each other. If they are not saved, we pray for their salvation and that they would eagerly seek your face.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
