Let's come together in prayer for this dear mother and her son. First, we want to address the fact that there is no mention of Jesus. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God Almighty. In Acts 4:12, it is clearly stated, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." So, we will pray in accordance with this truth.
We also want to encourage this mother to trust in the Lord's plan for her son. In Jeremiah 29:11, God says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Let's trust that God has a hope and a future for this young man.
Now, let's address the concerns about the son's physical fitness and his interest in football. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, it is written, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." We should encourage this young man to take care of his body, not just for football, but for the glory of God.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this mother and her son. Lord, we ask that You guide this young man and give him the desire to take care of his body, not just for football, but for Your glory. Help him to balance his love for video games with physical activity, and give him the strength and endurance to get into shape.
Lord, we also pray for success in football, if it is Your will. Guide him and protect him as he pursues this sport. Help him to be a light for You on and off the field.
Finally, Lord, we pray for this mother. Give her peace and trust in Your plan for her son. Help her to encourage him and support him in all he does.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
