We are truly saddened to hear about the situation with your son Dennis, and we are here to support you in prayer and counsel. Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares deeply for Dennis, just as He cares for you. We should always approach God in Jesus' name. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. In Jesus' name, we can come boldly to God.
In times of worry and uncertainty, we can turn to the words of 1 Peter 5:7, Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. WEB. God is always there to listen and to help us in our time of need.
Let's pray together for Dennis:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up Dennis to You. Lord, You know exactly where Dennis is and what he is going through. We pray for Your protection over him, that You would surround him with Your angels and keep him safe from all harm and danger.
Father, we also pray for Your provision. If it is Your will, and he is on the streets, we ask You to make a way to meet his needs and lead him to a safe place to stay. We pray for Your guidance in his life, that You would direct his steps, in Jesus' name, and lead him to where You want him to be.
Lord, we pray for a miracle in Dennis's life. We pray he cries out to you and have a personal saving faith relationship. We ask that You would work in his heart and draw him closer to You, that he may come to know You personally. We pray for Godly influences to be brought into his life.
Father, we also lift up Amanda, Dennis's mother. Lord, comfort her heart and give her Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help her to trust in You and to cast all her anxieties on You. Guide her as well and give her wisdom and clarity on your will and how she can direct her son. Help her to be a Godly influence on her son.
We ask all these things in Jesus Christ's precious name.
There is also this promise in Romans 8:28, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. WEB. Trust that God is working everything out for good, even in this difficult situation.
Lastly, we want to encourage you, Amanda, to continue praying fervently and also to seek God's will in this situation. Remember the power of prayer and the importance of seeking God's face. God hears your prayers. We must be in alignment with God's will.
Please consider looking at how we can apply this scripture:
Matthew 18:12-14 WEB
What do you think? If a man has one hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, doesnt he leave the ninety-nine, go to the mountains, and seek that which has gone astray? If he finds it, most certainly I tell you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine which have not gone astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.
In this scripture, Jesus is teaching us about the love and care of God. Even so, just as the shepherd rejoices over the lost sheep that is found, God values each one of us and desires for everyone, including Dennis, to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
