Let us come before the Lord with a united heart and spirit, interceding for Gabriel and trusting in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are praying to the Almighty God for Gabriel and should be putting faith in Him. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Let us encourage him to know and believe this. It is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we have the promise of salvation and a relationship with God. There is no other name that can save.
And in that day, you shall ask me no more questions. Most assuredly, I tell you, whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will give you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full. John 16:23-24 (WEB).
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved! Acts 4:12 (WEB)
The first step to freedom from alcohol, drug use, and fornication is to help him to seek a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If he is already a Christian, then remind him that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit and encourage him to rely on God's strength and to resist these temptations. If he has not accepted Jesus Christ, encourage him to make this life-changing decision. Encourage him to seek forgiveness, repent and ask for strength to resist and overcome this temptation.
Let us remind Gabriel of God's promises, such as "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. But God is faithful. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear, but will with the temptation also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB).
Let us also remind Gabriel to "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings" 1 Peter 5:8-9 (WEB).
Praying together for Gabriel:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Gabriel to You. Lord, we know that You love Gabriel deeply and desire for him to live a life free from the bondage of alcohol, drugs, and fornication. We pray that You would break the chains of addiction in his life and give him the strength to resist these temptations. Help him to know Jesus and to repent from these sins.
Father, we ask that You would surround Gabriel with Your love and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Give him the wisdom and discernment to make godly choices and the courage to walk in Your will for his life. We pray for the convicting power of the Holy Spirit to come upon him so that he would turn from these sins. We ask this in Jesus name. Amen.
Father, help Gabriel to have a life of holiness, purity, and freedom. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
We offer encouragement to Gabriel to pursue godly fellowship and Christian counseling. We would also encourage Gabriel to consider engaging in activities and hobbies that bring glory to God and help him to live a life that honors Him.
As a brotherhood, we stand with you, Flagunald, in praying for Gabriel's deliverance and restoration. Let us pray for boldness to confront Gabriel in a loving, firm, and biblical way. Continue to encourage him and stand firm against the enemy's attacks. Let us ask for God's will and wisdom in Gabriel's life and trust in His timing. We will also pray for God's forgiveness and for Gabriel's faith to trust God. We will also pray for patience, perseverance, and strength.
