We are joined with you, Welall, in lifting up your son Johnny before the Lord, seeking His will and blessings for Johnny's life. We pray that God's perfect will be done in Johnny's job search, and that the door may be opened or closed according to His divine purpose.
Firstly, we must remember that our God is faithful and able to provide for our needs. As it is written in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:
Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.
While it's natural to desire a positive outcome, we must trust that God has the best plan for Johnny. Let us pray that God will guide the decisions of the couple who interviewed Johnny, granting them wisdom and discernment. If it is God's will for Johnny to have this job, may their hearts be inclined towards hiring him. May Johnny trust in the Lord, knowing that His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB). If it is God's will that this job is not a fit for Johnny, then may Johnny accept the guidance.
Let's pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up Johnny and asking for Your will to be done in his life. Lord, if it is Your desire for him to have this job, we ask that You open the door and incline the hearts of the interviewers towards him. If not, Lord, we trust that You have a better plan. Help Johnny to trust in You, knowing that You are faithful and able to provide for all his needs. In the powerful name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
We also want to raise the subject of the nature of our communications with God. We should end our prayers in The name of Jesus. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. We have been given power and authority in the name of Jesus to pray and ask for things from God. Please remember this and include it in your future prayer requests.
