We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your son is facing, and we are here to pray and offer biblical guidance together. Firstly, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God and find salvation and help, as it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the son of Tilren to you. Lord, we know that you are a merciful God who is willing to forgive and heal those who come to you in faith. We ask that you would touch his life and bring restoration in Jesus' name.
Lord, he is facing severe consequences from decisions he made and actions he took while suffering with drug addiction. We will ask for and hope for your compassion and restoration. We will ask for God's Will to be done here on earth as it is in Heaven. We ask that you will reach out to Tilren and her son and help them with this difficult situation ans share the gospel of Jesus Christ with both of them in this process. We know that you are a compassionate God who does not desire for anyone to suffer with addiction and that you freely forgive and heal.
Grant him the peace that surpasses all understanding and the strength to overcome his struggles. Help him to know that you are with him and that he can feel your presence. To overcome the battle againt drugs, he will need you, Lord. Please remove the addiction from him and free him. We are aware that he will need a solid Christian community to help him with his recovery. We ask that you will guide him to people who will love and support him and who will hold him accountable as well. Lord, there is no healing or deliverance apart from Jesus Christ and, therefore, we will ask this in Jesus Name. In the meantime, comfort his mother Tilren. We ask for peace for her as well. We will ask that you will guide her to a church that is on fire for the Lord Jesus Christ that can help her with her faith and belief.
Lord, we also pray for Tilren, that you would give her the wisdom and grace to support her son during this challenging time. Help her to be a beacon of your love and hope to him, give her the words to lovingly rebuke, correct and guide her son that will speak life to "DRUG ADDICTION IS WRONG IN THE SIGHT OF GOD. GOD CALLS IT SORCERY". Help him to see that drug use is clearly against the commandments of God. GALATIANS 5:19-21 WEB states that "19. Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, 20. idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, 21. envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God." We also pray that she will have the strength to set appropriate boundaries and hold him accountable while still letting God have complete control of his healing process and of his life while showing him the strength to overcome addiction with the understanding from Tilren and the Christian community that he will need your help (I Pet 5:6-7).
Help him to understand that you are the strong tower that he can run into and be safe (Proverbs 18:10). In Jesus name we pray this.
We also rebuke any spirit of addiction, or darkness that may be influencing Tilren and her son. We ask that you would set them free in the name Jesus Christ. We will ask together that you will guide them both and help them with the faith and learning based on reading the BIBLE. In order to overcome any sin, they will have to be reading and living the BIBLE and be going to a strong BIBLE believing church. Help them and any Christian they know to share their faith and the BIBLE with them.
We will consider it pure joy when they face trials of many kinds, because they know that the testing of their faith produces perseverance. We are asking for perseverance to finish its work so that they both may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. WE ARE ASKING FOR SALVATION FOR BOTH OF THEM (James1:2-4).
In Jesus' name, we pray these things. Amen.
