My Son Says Prayer Does Work...
I have been telling my 32 year old son Gary about the goodness of the Lord for the longest time. Even when he was a child we faithfully attended church and participated in the programs and activities at the church. As he got older, unfortunately, he lost interest in God. But I am here to tell you, God never ever lost interest in my son. Now that my son has turned his life over to God he testifies to me! And one of the things he tells me is "Ma, prayer does work." Something good happened to him and he was so excited when he was talking to me. So whoever is reading this I want you to know when I heard my son say that, it was sweet music to my ears. Right at this very moment my son needs a job. He has a family to take care of. He has responsibilities. The Lord knows it and I have put my trust in Him that he will take care of my (our) son. I've seen Him do it many times. My son needs a full-time job with benefits and needs to make enough to take care of his responsibilities. He has gone through a lot because he has a health issue with his pancreas. I know the Lord is in this and He sees what is going on. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I have prayed and prayed that the Lord heal my son. He hasn't been hospitalized since February. And so I am reminded when I read scriptures, when I listen to something uplifting on the radio and even when I come in contact with a stranger who tells me about the goodness of the Lord and how prayer has worked for them. It's like God and the angels are trying to get my attention. When you read this I want you to keep on praying and turning to the Lord. My son needs a job and he went on an interview and for some reason he feels like this is going to be the job for him. It's what you call faith. You must have faith. He is going to be at the right place at the right time. I know it. I can feel it because prayer does work.
