Let's come together in prayer for your son, standing in agreement for his deliverance and restoration. We acknowledge that there is a spiritual battle at play, and we have authority in the name of Jesus to rebuke these negative influences.
Remember, the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life, and have it more abundantly. Your son's addiction to video games is not just a physical or psychological issue; it's a spiritual one. We stand in the gap for him, praying that the Lord will break these chains of addiction and set him free.
Consider John 8:36, "So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."
If applicable, I Timothy 4:12 should be considered for a younger son, especially if a believer.
Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.
The advice is the same for both being submissive to the parents wish and will.
So let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this beloved son. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of addiction and any devilish influences in his life. We ask You to give him the strength to overcome this addiction, and to renew his mind and heal his brain. Lord, help him to focus on You and Your purpose for his life. Surround him with godly influences and help him to resist temptation. Give his parents wisdom and guidance as they support and guide him through this. And Lord, if he does not already know You, we pray that You would reveal yourself to him in a powerful way me and he would submit to You. We receive this request as a source of pride and show submissiveness to this parents wish.
We trust that the Lord will hear our prayers and answer speedily.
Remember, the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. We will respect the parents wishes and advice towards submission to their desire and to the Lord.
Also, remember that raising godly children and training them in the way they should go is a promise in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up the child in the way he ought to go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
We pray all of this in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
Remember, continue to stand in faith, trusting that the Lord is at work. Spend time in the Word and in prayer, and encourage your son to do the same. The enemy has no hold on him, and with the Lord's help, he will overcome.
