My son moving out and going to college

Dear heavenly Father, I come to you with thanksgiving. Thank you allowing to be a mother of my children. You can allow me to see my eldest son go off to college. As he prepares to leave this week, I ask that you provide me with peace and strength in this change in our lives. I ask that you please give my son the decernment, so that he knows who is for him and who is against him and what he should and shouldn't do. Order his steps so that he put You first and in everything and because of that, he will succeed in everything. Just continue to keep ministry angels camped round about him and cover him from seen an unseen danger. Thank you heavenly Father, that you will show him his purpose so that he can walk in it sooner than later. I pray that he has a great experience in college. And he walks away with great life lessons and friends. Thank you, God, for this miraculous blessing and all that you have done! In Jesus name, Amen!

Aelill, we join you in lifting up your son as he embarks on this new journey to college. It's beautifully clear that your heart is filled with both thanksgiving and concern, as any parent's would be. Let's come together in prayer and reflection on God's promises.

**Prayer:**

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, united with Aelill, to thank You for the precious gift of her son. As he prepares to leave for college, we ask for Your peace and strength to fill Aelill's heart. Lord, grant her son discernment to know who is for him and who is against him, and to understand what he should and shouldn't do. Order his steps so that he may put You first in everything, and by doing so, may he succeed in all his endeavors (Proverbs 3:6, WEB).

Surround him with Your ministering angels, Lord, and cover him from seen and unseen danger. Reveal to him his purpose, so that he may walk in it sooner than later (Psalm 91, WEB). We pray that his college experience will be enriching, filled with great life lessons and godly friendships.

We ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen.

**Encouragement:**

Aelill, remember the promise in Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB), "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." This is a wonderful time for your son to grow and discover more about God's purpose for his life.

**Exhortation:**

Encourage your son to seek out Christian fellowship on campus. It's crucial for him to surround himself with believers who will strengthen his faith and hold him accountable (Hebrews 10:24-25, WEB).

Lastly, Aelill, continue to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). This is a season of change, but God is faithful and His love for you and your son remains constant.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
