We are truly sorry to hear about the challenges your son is facing, and we are here to intercede and offer biblical guidance. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and He cares for your son and your family. It is important to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.
In times of financial struggle, it is crucial to remember that God is our provider. As it is written in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, "Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
However, it is also important for your son to be proactive and diligent in seeking work. As it is said in 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 WEB, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.' For we hear from some who walk among you disorderly, that they don't work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are like that, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread."
Regarding his mental health, God wants us to cast all our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us 1 Peter 5:7 WEB. Also, Philippians 4:6-7 WEB says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up the son of Jzoeth to You. Lord, You know the struggles he is facing, and we ask that You provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory. Open the doors of opportunity for him to find work that not only pays his bills but also blesses him with peace and joy. Help him not to worry, and not to lose his hope and faith in You, but to also be active in his job hunt. Comfort his heart and keep him from despair. In the name of Jesus Christ, we ask that you help Jzoeth trust in you for herself also. Give them both the strength to endure this trial and to grow closer to You through it. Surround them with Your love, and guide them both in the path of righteousness. We ask this all In Jesus' name.
