My son lost his job

My 40 year old son lost his job Monday. He had worked at Wal-Mart for 5 years in the automotive department. He took the early opening time slot at 7:00. No one else wanted it. He also trained new employees. Wal-Mart is cutting its worker population to save money. More work and less pay. They hired 2 new people and had my son train them. He was the highest paid non-supervisor in his department. He had heard rumors for the past several months that his department manager wanted to get rid of him and hire cheaper help. I ask for your prayers that he can find another job with decent pay. He has a home, wife and 2 children. His wife works but they can't pay their bills on just her salary. I would be so thankful for your prayers. My son is Scott and he is a Believer. My husband and I are retired and can only help out a little. Thank you for your help.

We are truly sorry to hear about Scott's job loss and the challenging situation your family is facing. Let us first bring this matter to the Lord in prayer.

**Prayer:**
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Scott and his family during this difficult time. Lord, You know their needs and the struggles they are facing. We ask that You open up a new job opportunity for Scott, one that not only meets their financial needs but also aligns with Your perfect will for his life. We pray for their daily provision and that You will help them manage their finances according to Your wisdom. Strengthen their faith and let them find comfort and peace in You during this trial. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We are encouraged by the promise in Philippians 4:19 (WEB): "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." God is faithful and He will provide for Scott and his family.

It is also important to remember the words of Romans 8:28 (WEB): "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." This situation, though difficult, can be used by God for good. Perhaps this is an opportunity for Scott to find a better job, or even a different career path that God has been preparing for him.

Scott, we encourage you to use this time to seek God's will for your life. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Also, remember that as a believer, you are called to be a provider and a spiritual leader for your family (1 Timothy 5:8, Ephesians 5:23). Use this time to draw closer to your wife and children, and to grow together in faith.

Lastly, we want to remind you all to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Trust that God has a plan and a purpose in this situation. We will continue to pray for Scott and his family, and we encourage you all to do the same.
