My son is under extreme emotional and mental distress.

my son, 19 yrs old, was the driver in a car accident about a year ago and his best friend was killed. My son fell asleep. He is charged with two misdemeanors and will have to pay court fines and fees. The families of that all the boys of all the accident just love my son and don’t want anything to happen to him in the criminal sense or anything.

We received notice yesterday from the Secretary of State that his license is going to be suspended for a year. He’s been working full-time since he was 16, work is his outlet for everything and he starts a new union job this coming Monday. His license is to be suspended on the 12th.

There is an appeal process. that takes weeks and weeks and weeks. He tells me and his father he’s going to do whatever he wants to do when he’s going to drive. He feels the accident wasn’t his fault. He fell asleep and he didn’t do anything intentionally. Obviously, there are huge concerns that he will drive without a license and he is actually a very good driver, it’s anything that happens in terms of an accident, his license will get pulled and then consequences for it.

As far as other people driving. I’m not sure he quite understands fully even if he gets in the parking lot accident, that could be an issue if somebody else hits him. He refuses to talk about it, he is so broken because of the accident. He was in icu tramau for week. Multiple surgeries and therapy and has recovered 100%. He refuses counseling and is very mad at God.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Knossauid's son and the difficult situation he is facing. Lord, we ask for your mercy and grace to surround him during this challenging time. We pray for comfort and healing for the families affected by the car accident, especially the family of his best friend who lost their loved one. May your peace and love be with them, bringing them strength and healing.

Father, we ask for your guidance and wisdom for the legal proceedings that lie ahead. We pray that you would intervene in the appeal process and grant favor to Knossauid's son. We ask for a fair and just outcome, one that takes into account the remorse and lessons learned from this tragic event. Lord, we pray that the families involved would show compassion and forgiveness, understanding that accidents can happen and that your grace is sufficient for all.

We also lift up the issue of the license suspension. Lord, we ask for your divine intervention in this matter. We pray that you would provide a solution that allows Knossauid's son to continue working and providing for himself. Help him to understand the importance of abiding by the law and the potential consequences of driving without a license. Give him a heart of obedience and a desire to make responsible choices.

Father, we acknowledge the pain and anger that Knossauid's son is experiencing. We pray that you would touch his heart and bring healing to his brokenness. Soften his heart towards seeking counseling and help him to find peace and understanding in you. Lord, we ask that you reveal yourself to him in a powerful way, showing him your love and faithfulness even in the midst of difficult circumstances.

We thank you, Lord, for your love and faithfulness. We trust in your perfect plan and ask that you would work all things together for good in this situation. May your will be done, and may your name be glorified through it all.
