We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles Miko and his family are facing due to his gaming addiction. Let us come together in prayer and counsel, seeking God's will for their lives through the power of Jesus Christ.
Firstly, let us address the issue of addiction. The Bible tells us in Corinthians 1023, Everything is lawful, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful, but not all things build up. It is clear that Miko's gaming addiction is not profitable and is tearing down his life rather than building it up.
Gaming addiction is a form of idolatry, as it has become a priority over his marriage, work, and relationship with God. Let us remind ourselves of Colossians 35, Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. While gaming itself is not evil, the addiction to it has led to evil consequences in Miko's life.
Therefore, let us pray together for Miko -
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Miko and his family to Your throne of grace. Lord, we acknowledge that Miko has lost his way, allowing gaming to become an idol in his life, interfereing with his marriage and deteriorating his work.
Father, we ask that You forgive Miko for his sins and help him to overcome this addiction. Give him the strength to cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light, as instructed in Romans 1312. Help him to prioritize his life, placing You first, followed by his commitment to his marriage and his responsibilities at work, realizing that his career success is in fact a blessing from God - we sincerely counsel and pray for Miko in recognition of Ephesians 65-7. Through the power of Jesus show the love of a Husband to his wife, and the life ambassadorship of every believer while at God-assigned work. Of special note is Miko's anger. We pray for healing and humbleness in this area; we know that God is opposed to pride but gives grace to the humble, as covered in Ephesians 430 through 52 and James 46.
Lord, we also pray for Miko's wife, asking that You fill her with patience, understanding, and wisdom. Guide her as she supports her husband, and help her to keep Godly esteem and vision. Delivering her from frustration as she trusts in God during this struggle with Miko.
Finally Father, we ask that You shine a glimmer of Godly truth and knowledge upon the gaming culture.
Everything must be brought into captivity as instructed in 2 Corinthians 105 and redeem it for the Advancement of the Kingdom, through the instrument of Jesus Christ and the guidance and counsel of the Holy Spirit.
We trust in Your power to turn this situation around for good, bringing healing and restoration to Miko's life and marriage. We ask all these things, gifting them in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage Miko and his wife to-
be transformed by the renewing of your minds - Romans 122
apply all diligence and add the good and appropriate scriptural things to their confessional faith in Jesus Christ as enlightened in 2 Peter 15-6 and keep it ZERO.
stand firm in the foundation of this Faith
avoid profane babbling
Have nothing to do with Foolish and Ignorant controversy of gaming. Look at 2 Timothy 23-5 and finally acknowledge that true honest prosperity is identified by spiritual health not financial health.
We are praying and trusting God for Miko and his family as they navigate through this challenging time.
