Lewiare, we are truly saddened to hear about the trials your son is facing in his marriage. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will and intervention in this difficult situation.
Firstly, we want to remind you of what Scripture says about divorce: "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel (Malachi 2:16 WEB). While God permits divorce in cases of adultery (Matthew 19:9 WEB), it is clear that He desires reconciliation whenever possible.
However, we must also address the grave concern you've raised. Attempted poisoning is a criminal act, and involvement in witchcraft is a severe sin against God. The Bible is clear, "There shall not be found with you anyone who practices divination, an observer of times, an enchanter, or a witch" (Deuteronomy 18:10 WEB). We must pray for your daughter-in-law's salvation and deliverance from these sins.
Let's pray together:
"Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading for Your mercy and justice in this situation. We pray for Your divine intervention in our brother's marriage. If there is any hope for reconciliation, we pray that You would soften hearts and bring them back together. However, if this is not Your will, we ask that You guide and protect our brother through this difficult time.
We also pray for his estranged wife. We rebuke the spirit of witchcraft and ask that You deliver her from this sin. We pray for her salvation and that she would turn away from her wicked deeds.
We ask for Your justice to prevail in court today. May the truth be exposed, and may Your will be done.
Finally, we pray for peace and comfort for our brother and his family. Help them to lean on You during this time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Lewiare, we encourage your son to seek godly counsel and to continue praying and trusting in the Lord. Remember, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
We will continue to keep you and your family in our prayers.
