Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up Dennis and Dunlewen in prayer. We are grateful that Dunlewen has reached out to us, seeking the Lord's intervention in Dennis's life.
Firstly, let us address the use of the name of Jesus Christ. It is wonderful that Dunlewen has invoked this powerful name, for it is by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is the only name given whereby we can be saved. As the scripture says "in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him."
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12), lifting up Dennis to You. Lord, You know where Dennis is and what he is going through. We ask that You keep him safe and healthy, both physically and spiritually.
We affirm as it says in Psalm 91 that "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We will say of the Lord, 'He is our refuge and our fortress; our God, in whom we trust.'"
Dunlewen, we understand your concern and pain not knowing where Dennis is. We pray that the Lord will give you a peace that surpasses all understanding as you trust in Him.
God, you said that when we call to you in our trouble, you will deliver us. Please do so for your servant Dennis. Let him know that You are there with him, even in his current situation. We pray that Dennis will feel Your presence and know that You have not abandoned him. We don't fault Dennis for anything, we just pray for his well being.
We pray for Dennis's salvation and that he will draw closer to You, Lord. We ask that Your Spirit will convict him and lead him to a place of repentance and surrender to You. We affirm that "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Lord, we also pray for Dunlewen. Give them the strength and faith to trust in You, even in this difficult time. Help them to cast all their anxiety on You, because You care for them and for their beloved son. We affirm that "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."
In Jesus' name, we pray for a miracle in Dennis's life. Turn his situation around, Lord, and give Dunlewen the peace and assurance that Dennis is safe and in Your care.
Amen."
Dunlewen, continue to trust in the Lord and keep your eyes on Him. He is faithful, and He hears your prayers. We pray for your son and for you during this time.
