We are truly sorry to hear about the struggle your son is facing, and we are here to intercede and pray for his healing and well-being.
In moments like these, we must remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Depression can be a spiritual battle, and we are called to put on the full armor of God to stand against the schemes of the devil. Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious young man to You. Lord, You know the depths of his pain and the heaviness in his heart. We ask that You would surround him with Your presence and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of depression and suicide that may be tormenting him. In the mighty name of Jesus, we command these spirits to leave and never return. Lord, heal his mind and emotions, and give him a sound mind. Give him the strength to face each day, and let him know that his life is precious and has a purpose in Your kingdom.
Guide his parents and those around him, Lord, giving them the wisdom and love to support him in the way that he needs. Let them be a source of comfort and encouragement, pointing him always to You.
Father, we pray that he would come to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior if he does not already. Draw him to Yourself, Lord, and let him experience the transforming power of Your love.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for your son and to surround him with love and support. Remember the promise in Romans 8:28, WEB: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God is working in your son's life, even in the midst of this struggle.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it says in Acts 4:12, WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you or your son have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today.
