Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up ### and his parents before the throne of grace. We understand your heartache and concern for your son, and we stand with you in prayer.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God's word tells us to train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it Proverbs 22:6 WEB. It is never too late to start praying for ### and trusting God for his future. As parents we are instructed by God:
And you, fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and admonition of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4 WEB.
We must also address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. This is why we encourage everyone because If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10 WEB. This is why we will pray In Jesus Name (IJN)... And in no other name under heaven is there salvation. For there is no other name under heaven given among people whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12. Let us lift up ### and your family in prayer. This is why your prayer request should be In Jesus Name. We will pray this way for you and others who submit prayer requests.
Now, let us pray together in Jesus' name:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up ### and his parents. Lord, they are burdened with worry for their son's personal bad habits and behavior. They have observed him having bad friends and returning late at night. They are weeping over his behavior and experiencing mental depression. Lord, we ask that You intervene in ###'s life. Surround him with godly influences and help him to break free from his bad habits and friendships that do not honor You. Guide him back to the path of righteousness and help him to become the man You created him to be.
Lord, we also pray for his parents. Comfort them and give them Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide them to know how to pray for and disciple their son. Help them to trust in You and Your promises regarding their son, like what is said in Proverbs 22:6. Help them teach him about the importance of the name of Jesus.
Lord, we ask that You bring conviction to ###'s heart and draw him to Yourself. Help him to see the error of his ways and turn from them. Help him respect his parents and consider better friends as family. Give him a desire to pursue education and a purposeful future. Help him to honor his parents like it says in Ephesians chapter 6 and the rest of the Ten Commandments, and to honor you with his body and spirit. We pray for a transformation that will glorify Your name. We pray that he seeks godly friends and finds them... that they will be closer than family and be helpful to him in knowing you. A man of many friends may be harmed, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24.
We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, IJN. Amen.
