Patricia Ann, we join you in lifting up your son Anthony in prayer, trusting in the power of Jesus' name. Thank you for submitting your request.
Firstly, we acknowledge your faith in praying in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We need to rebuke the spirit of alcoholism and recklessness that is attempting to take hold of Anthony. It is clear that drunkenness is a sin that is not only dangerous to Anthony but also to others. The Bible warns us in Ephesians 5:18 WEB: "Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Anthony and his family. Lord, we plead for Your protection over Anthony, that You would keep him safe from harm and from causing harm to others. We bind the spirit of alcoholism and recklessness, and we loose the spirit of self-control and wisdom.
We also pray for reconciliation between Anthony and his brother. We know that it is Your will for brothers to dwell together in unity, as it is written in Psalm 133:1 WEB: "See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!" Lord, we ask that You would heal any hurt and restore their relationship, that they may live in peace and harmony.
Lord, we ask that You would surround the entire family with Your protection, that they may live in safety and peace. In the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Patricia Ann, continue to stand firm in your faith and trust in the Lord. Keep praying and interceding for Anthony and your family. Remember the promise in James 5:16 WEB: "The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective."
We encourage you to continue to guide Anthony towards a life of sobriety and godliness. It is our prayer that Anthony would turn his life over to Christ, that he may live a life pleasing to Him.
