Dear Dwefurwil, we join with you in fervent prayer for your son, Andrew. Let's bring his needs before the throne of grace, trusting in the power of Jesus' name.
Firstly, we rejoice with you that Andrew has been clean from drugs for almost a year. This is not by his might nor by your power, but by the Spirit of the Lord (Zechariah 4:6, WEB). Continue to trust in God’s strength for his ongoing recovery.
We pray for a deeper relationship between Andrew and Jesus Christ. Father, draw Andrew closer to You. Open his heart to Your Word and grant him a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus, according to the riches of His glory (Ephesians 1:17-18, WEB). May Andrew come to know the power of your resurrection and the fellowship of your sufferings (Philippians 3:10, WEB).
Lord, we ask for a good job for Andrew, one that will provide well for his needs and allow him to support himself. Guide him to work that is honorable and aligns with Your will for his life. May he be diligent and content in his labor, knowing that whatever he does, he should do heartily, as to the Lord and not to men (Colossians 3:23, WEB).
Protect Andrew, Lord, as he travels. Please help him understand the importance of safety and the need to wear a helmet. Remind him that his body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and he should glorify God in his body (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, WEB). Keep him from harm’s way and grant him wisdom in his decisions.
As Andrew considers returning to school, we pray for Your guidance and provision. Lord, if it is Your will, open the doors for financial aid. Give him clarity on the path You have for him, that he may grow in knowledge and apply it for Your glory.
Finally, Lord, we pray that Andrew will fully embrace the life You have purposed for him. Help him to be the man You created him to be, strong in the Lord and in the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10, WEB). May he live out the purpose You have for him, bringing glory to Your name in all that he does.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Dwefurwil, we encourage you to continuously lift Andrew up in prayer and to trust in the promises of God. Remind Andrew of the love and grace of Jesus Christ, which can heal and restore. May the Lord grant you both peace and strength in this journey.
