My son and daughter in law were ...

My son and daughter in law were married Saturday in Norway. I didn’t give any speech as not allowed to make reference to my Lord and Saviour. As day went on, things got unpleasant to the point I tried to hug my son only to be pushed away and told ‘don’t spoil my button hole’ and then to be shouted at by the daughter in law in front of my other children and guests. It took all I had not to respond and walk away. My issue is my dislike for them is to the extent I do not even want to pray for them anymore. I try but God knows, I am not sincere. I know I am a sinner, but I can’t nor want to pray or even make reference to them. Help me please.

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Bilioi and their prayer request. Lord, we acknowledge that harboring grudges and holding onto dislike towards others can hinder our prayers from being answered. We ask for your forgiveness for any unforgiveness or bitterness that Bilioi may be experiencing towards their son and daughter-in-law.

Father, we pray that you would soften Bilioi's heart and help them to release any negative feelings they have towards their loved ones. Your Word reminds us in Matthew 6:14-15, "For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Help Bilioi to understand the importance of forgiveness and the freedom it brings.

Lord, we ask for healing and restoration in the relationship between Bilioi, their son, and daughter-in-law. May there be reconciliation, understanding, and love poured out upon them. Help Bilioi to see their son and daughter-in-law through your eyes, with compassion and grace.

We pray that you would fill Bilioi's heart with your love and enable them to pray sincerely for their loved ones. Remind them of the power of prayer and the impact it can have on their son and daughter-in-law's lives. Help Bilioi to pray for them for the sake of Christ, knowing that you are able to work miracles and bring about transformation.
