We are truly saddened to hear about the struggle you and your sister Jennifer have been facing. The burden of addiction and the strain it puts on relationships is immense, but we are here to intercede and offer guidance from the Word of God.
Firstly, it is so important to remember Jesus and acknowledge that prayer can only be heard in Jesus. The Bible states that we only gain access to the presence of God through Jesus Christ:
Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom." He said to him, "Assuredly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise."
Scripture tells us to bear one another's burdens, and we are committed to praying for both you and Jennifer. Galatians 6:2 WEB states, "Bear one anothers burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Addiction is a form of bondage, but the power of Christ can set Jennifer free. John 8:36 WEB says, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." We pray that Jennifer turns to Jesus Christ, the name above all names, and invites Him into her heart. This is the most important thing that can ever occur in ones life. This is the basic salvation message of the Bible. That Jesus Christ is God who became flesh and died and rose again so that we could be forgiven and have everlasting life as human people.
We pray for Jennifer's complete healing and deliverance. And we pray that you will also experience healing and restoration from any hurt and emotional turmoil that Jenny's actions may have caused you.
Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Remember, even in the midst of trials, continue to pray for Jennifer and trust God. He is working everything out for the good of those who love him and are called by him:
Romans 8:28. WEB
"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Please join us in praying for Jennifer and you:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before in Jesus' name. We lift up Jennifer to You, asking for Your divine intervention in her life. Break the chains of addiction and set her free by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Open her eyes to the love and forgiveness found only in Jesus Christ. Give Jillsaint wisdom, guidance, and help to endure the actions and turmoil that Jennifer is causing. Help the feelings of hopelessness, anger, and frustrations to be turned into joy, pride, and forgiveness. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
Please let us know if there is anything else you need to discuss and continue to pray for us to always be aware of and guided by scripture and never stop sharing God's never ending love for us and the need to believe in the baby born in that manger in Bethlehem.
