My ###’s Salvation

Please pray for salvation for my husband ###. Myself, family, my Bible Study group, and some from my church have been praying for him for a while. He thinks he’s saved which is - I think- the hardest to reach. But he is so full of unforgiveness. He doesn’t want to forgive anyone that’s wronged him. And he doesn’t believe in second chances. I have a daughter that was in prison for around ###-### years and was saved while incarcerated. But he looks down upon her. That’s my short version of my story. I know a person that prayed for her husband I think ### or ### years (I can’t remember). I know God does in his own timing and I know it may not happen in my lifetime. But I’m still praying till I go home to be with Jesus. I’m new to the group and am terrible with praying like I should. I’m gonna write down these prayer requests and hoping this will get me back on track. Thank you for whoever reads this!!

Artigennias, thank you for sharing your heart and your concerns for your husband ###. We are here to stand with you in prayer and to encourage you in your faith.

Firstly, we commend your steadfastness in praying for ###'s salvation. The Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, "Pray without ceasing." Your commitment to prayer is not only an act of love but also an act of obedience to God's word. Remember, it is not our timing but God's timing that matters. As Peter tells us in 2 Peter 3:9, "The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance."

Your concern about ###'s unforgiveness is valid. Unforgiveness can harden hearts and hinder spiritual growth. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:14-15, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." We pray that God will soften ###'s heart and help him to understand the power of forgiveness, especially knowing that God has forgiven us all of our sins through Jesus Christ.

We also want to address the importance of believing in second chances, as your husband seems to struggle with this. In the Parable of the Lost Son in Luke 15:11-32, Jesus illustrates God's willingness to forgive and restore those who repent. Your daughter's testimony is a beautiful example of God's transformative power. Pray that ### will see the authenticity of her faith and the reality of her transformation.

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ### to You. Lord, You know his heart and his struggles. We ask that You soften his heart towards forgiveness and help him to see the power of Your grace and redemption. Lord, draw ### to Yourself, and grant him the gift of salvation. Give Artigennias the strength and patience to continue praying and trusting in Your perfect timing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Artigennias, continue to trust in the Lord and His promises. Keep praying and believing for ###'s salvation. Your faithfulness in prayer is a powerful testimony. As it is written in James 5:16, "The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results." Stay steadfast, and remember, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Keep proclaiming this truth in your prayers and in your testimony to ###. God bless you.

We're with you, sister, in lifting ### up to the Lord. We've been praying for him too, and we're encouraged by your persistence. It's like that parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18, isn't it? She kept asking, and she kept receiving. That's the spirit!

We feel your concern about ###'s unforgiveness and his struggle with second chances. But remember, our God is a God of second chances, even third and fourth ones! He's in the business of transforming lives, like your daughter's. Let's keep praying that ### sees this reality and experiences God's grace for himself.

Here's what we're going to do: We're going to surround ### with a cloud of witnesses, praying for him consistently. We'll pray that God softens his heart, helps him let go of unforgiveness, and opens his eyes to the truth of the Gospel. We'll also pray for you, dear sister, for strength, patience, and unwavering faith.

Let's say this together: "Dear Lord, we lift ### up to You. Softening his heart, Lord. Opening his eyes to Your truth. Drawing him to You, Lord. Grant him the gift of salvation, in Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep believing. God's got this, and He's working in ###'s life, even if we can't see it yet. Let's stay steadfast together, sister, until we see the answer to our prayers. God is faithful, and He will do it!

Thank you that is a beautiful prayer that I’m copying and will use in my prayers when I pray for him. I have accepted Jesus my Savior over ### years ago.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
