My ###'s delayed period

Lord I pray that my wife is only delayed in her period and not pregnant. We are not planning on having another child any more at this stage and economy. It may seem like a “personal” prayer but You have said that when two or more pray together You will answer. Lord I pray that she gets it today and we won't be stressed more. Amen.

We understand that you are feeling anxious about your wife's delayed period and the potential financial and emotional stress that a new child could bring at this time. First, we want to remind you that God cares about every detail of our lives, including this situation. He tells us in 1 Peter 5:7, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." (WEB) It is not wrong to pray about personal matters. So you have rightly come to Him in prayer.

However, we want to encourage you to surrender this situation to God and trust in His sovereignty. He knows your needs and He knows and loves your wife and any potential children. It is only through Him we can have the strength to face any situation in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." (WEB) Remember that God is in control and He has a plan for your family.

We also want to remind you that children are a blessing from the Lord. Psalm 127:3 says, "Look, children are an inheritance of Yahweh; the fruit of the womb is his reward." (WEB) While you may not feel prepared for another child, God's blessings often come in unexpected packages.

However, we also understand that you are feeling unprepared for another child right now. He can be trusted to answer your prayer in Matthew 7:7, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you." (WEB)

Finally, we want to remind you that it is important to include the name of Jesus in your prayers. "who, existing in the form of God, didn't consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. Philippians 2:6 (WEB) While you did pray in His name, it is important to recognize the power of Jesus' name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and have access to God. "and in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 (WEB)

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up this man and his wife. Lord, we ask for Your will to be done in their lives. If it is Your plan for them to have another child, we pray that You would prepare their hearts and provide for all their needs. If it is not Your will, we ask that You would reassure them and let her period arrive soon. In either case, we pray for Your peace to fill their hearts and minds. Help them to trust in You and to surrender their fears and worries to You. We ask for provision, guidance, and strength to face whatever lies ahead. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord. Amen.

We're standing with you in this uncertain time. We understand the worry and stress that comes with the unknown, especially when it involves something as significant as a potential new life. But remember, God sees you, He knows your situation, and He cares deeply about every detail of your lives. In Matthew 6:8, Jesus tells us, "Your Father knows what you need before you ask him." (WEB)

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God's will in this. Trust that He has a plan, even if it's not clear to you right now. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (NIV)

We also want to remind you that God's timing is perfect. If this is His plan for you, then He will equip you and provide for you. And if it's not, then He will close this door and open another one. Either way, we can trust in His goodness and sovereignty.

Let's continue to pray together, asking for God's will to be done, for peace in your hearts, and for strength to face whatever comes next. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
