Amen, Sweaxulira! Your agreement in prayer is powerful. "Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven." **Let's lift them up in Jesus' Name!** Possessions come and go. Some have emotional attachments to them, while others are just something may be we lusted after like that new gadget, designer purse or the beautiful new sports car. We can treasure items we have that have been passed down from generation to generation in your family and they can never be replaced. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:19-21, "do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
My prized possession is my bible! It is a part of me now like an old friend. It is always been there through the good times and the bad times giving me encouragement, hope, peace and love. My bible is worn, the color on the front and back cover is faded and most of the pages are curled up on the edge. There are underlined words and highlighted verses. It often feels like a living, breathing thing. It is powerful, it holds amazing truth and love like you have never experienced before. It reveals the very heart of God! It holds so much treasure in it that we are rich beyond measure. It is spiritual nourishment.
The Word of God will never go out of style, rust or fall apart. If you read and study your bible and allow the Word to get into your heart, you will always have it with you no matter what. We don't know what the future holds but we know who holds it! Store up God's word in your heart and no one can ever take that away from you. You will have the greatest possession than anything the world can offer you.
