We join you in lifting up your family before the throne of grace, seeking God's protection, healing, and growth in Christ. We are reminded of the words of the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 3:14-21 (WEB):
"For this cause, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be strengthened to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know Christ's love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to him be the glory in the assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister and their family. We ask for Your divine protection and healing over them. Grow them in the knowledge and love of Christ, and help them to abide in Him.
Father, we also bring before You their work and financial issues. We know that You are a loving and providing Father, and that You care for the needs of Your children, as You have shown in the gospel of Matthew 6:25-34:
"Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?
'Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith?
Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?,' 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
Father, we ask that You provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and righteousness, trusting in You to supply all their needs.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear brother/sister, knowing that God hears your prayers and that He cares for you and your family. Continue to trust in Him, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
