We join with you in prayer, Powers, lifting up your requests to our Heavenly Father. We are grateful that you have included Jesus name and the Holy Spirit.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother Powers and his children. We ask for Your divine protection and healing over their lives. We are children of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. Just as we are saved by the blood of Jesus as long as we abide in Him and are not forsaken, neither should we forsake our children. As a man, just as Jesus is the head of his church, we pray that Powers is the priest of his home, praying for his children as Job did in Job 1:5. We can take confidence knowing that In Matthew 18:14 WEB it is not the will of our Father in heaven that one of these little ones should perish. Shield them from the schemes of the evil one, for You are our fortress and our refuge. We pray God that you reveal anything in our brother's life that may be opening opportunities for evil to influence their lives. We pray for the Holy Spirit to be alive and working in their lives. By faith, let us draw near to God knowing that he will draw near to us. He is with us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Just as the Holy Spirit is faithful to grow us closer to Jesus, let us respond to him in obedience to the Word of God. We pray for Powers and his children are in the Word daily, gathering with the church as much as possible, living lives with a heart pursuing Jesus. In the name of Jesus, let the Spirit work fullness of faith and its fruit in our lives. Powers and his family are saved by grace through faith and this not of themselves, it is a gift of God. Ephesians continues in chapter 2, verse 10 to say, 'not of works so that not one should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.' We pray then that they may be made complete in every good work to do his will, working in us that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ. It is to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. Spend time in gratitude, giving thanks always, for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and taking time to be in the Word of God, praying and reading. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. AMEN. Philippians 4:6-8
He has given us authority to call these things into being, and as much as He is able and willing to meet these needs and so much more, He is waiting for us to ask. BUT, as we ask let us remember that apart from Him, we are not able. We should actively be living our lives in accordance with the Word of Christ, listening to and obeying the leading of the Spirit.
