We understand your desires for your son and for your own life, but we want to ensure that we are seeking God's will in all things. Let's break down your prayer requests and align them with biblical principles.

Firstly, it's important to pray for God's will in your son's life. While an international football contract may seem glamorous, God's plans for your son might be different. We pray that God will guide your son's steps and give him a future and a hope. Remember the words of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Pray that your son will grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man, as Jesus did in Luke 2:52.

Regarding marriage and especially traveling, we should be cautious to ensure these requests align with God's will. Pray that God will lead you to a godly spouse if marriage is His will for you. Be sure that any relationship leading to marriage is a courtship that honors God. Remember that sex outside marriage is a sin and that there is only one marriage that God recognizes. This is a relationship between a man and a woman that is a lifelong relationship and commitment. Be sure that any romantic relationships are in alignment with God's will and that they are courtship leading to marriage. Ephesians 5:31 reminds us, "For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh." Also, consider 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"

For traveling, pray that God will guide your steps. Psalm 37:23 says, "Yahweh’s steps are for the upright. He delights in his way." Ask yourself if your desire to travel is aligned with God's will or if it's based on worldly desires. Any plans to travel should be in alignment with God's will and be leading to a lifestyle that honors God.

Lastly, we notice that your prayer request does not mention Jesus Christ. It's essential to remember that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." So we should always pray to God through Jesus Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your love and faithfulness. We come before you in the name of Jesus to lift up our brother Puotarvale.

Lord, we pray for his son. Guide his steps and give him a future and a hope. Help him to grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with You and with man.

For Puotarvale, we pray that You will reveal Your will for his life. If marriage is Your will, lead him to a godly spouse. Help him to honor You in all his relationships.
