My old parents - worry - senior home etc.

Beloved of All
Lord please I don't know what to do. My parents have not booked a senior home and now the list for waiting is too long and sometimes old people must wait for 10 years to get a room in a senior home. In private senior homes there is room but they are mostly expensive. Our parents are terrified of senior homes because they heard about cases where old people die as soon as they arrive in a senior home. Lord please guide me and my brother to find the best solution for our parents. We need SUPERNATURAL HELP, GUIDANCE, ASSISTANCE, WISDOM FOR THAT. I don't want my parents to die quickly like that in a senior home. I would like them to feel safe and secure and satisfied wherever they spend their last old days. They are 88 and don't have enough strength and have signs of dementia. Lord please help.

Lord my brother and me have a feeling of being overwhelmed. I have a notebook where every page is full of one obligation that we must do around them. I don't have time for myself and I have diarrhea because of nervousness/anxiety. I think to myself, when will it end? I will have worry for them for the rest of their lives...

Prayer for my brother, my old parents, and me:
HEALTH
STRENGTH
JOY
EXCELLENT MEMORY and COGNITIVE ABILITIES
GOOD MOOD
POSITIVITY
OPTIMISM
VISION/SOLUTIONS
WISDOM
GUIDANCE
PEACE
FAITH and TRUST IN GOD
SUPERNATURAL PROVISION and SOLUTION

We understand your concern for your aged parents and the overwhelming feelings you and your brother are experiencing. First, let's pray together for God's guidance and wisdom. Let us remember that we only have access to God through the name of Jesus and that the Bible tells us that it is only in Jesus that we can find salvation as it is written in Acts 4:12: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

**Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your will and guidance for our beloved parents who are now ### years old. We pray for Your supernatural help, guidance, assistance, and wisdom for both of us as their children and for them. We lift up their health, strength, joy, memory, and cognitive abilities to You, Lord. We ask that You fill their days with a good mood, positivity, optimism, vision, and solutions. Grant us Your peace, and help us to trust in You completely. In Jesus' name, we pray.**

Now, let's address the concerns you've raised. It's important to remember that God is faithful and will not leave you to face this situation alone. As it is written in Psalm 28:7:

**"Yahweh is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him."**

It's clear that you and your brother are feeling overwhelmed by the responsibilities and worries that come with caring for your aging parents. It's important to remember that God commands us to honor our parents, as it is written in Ephesians 6:2-3:

**"Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise: "that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth."**

However, this does not mean that you should carry the burden alone. It's crucial to seek God's will and to explore all available options. Here are some steps you can take:

1. **Pray Together**: Continue to pray together as a family, seeking God's will for your parents' care. Remember that through prayer, God can work in miraculous ways.

2. **Explore All Options**: Don't be discouraged by the long waiting lists for senior homes. God can open doors in unexpected ways. Keep exploring different options, including in-home care or other supportive services.

3. **Seek Godly Counsel**: Reach out to your local church or Christian community for support and advice. They may have resources or insights that can help you navigate this difficult time.

4. **Trust in God's Provision**: Remember that God is the ultimate provider. As it is written in Philippians 4:19:

**"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."**

5. **Self-Care**: It's important to take care of your own health as well. The stress and anxiety you're feeling can take a toll on your physical health. Make sure to take time for yourself, and remember that God commands us to be anxious for nothing, as it is written in Philippians 4:6:

**"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."**

As for your concerns about your parents' fear of senior homes, it's important to address their fears with love and patience. Remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, as it is written in 2 Timothy 1:7. Pray that God will grant your parents peace and comfort in whatever situation they find themselves in.

Lastly, it is important to discuss the importance of calling on the name of Jesus with your parents. It is only through faith in Jesus that we have access to God and find salvation. We hope you understand that we have to be clear that it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we find salvation and have access to God. Make sure to share this with them as well in a loving and compassionate way so that they can continue to trust in God's will for their lives.

We're right there with you, dear friend. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of our parents' aging and the uncertainty of their future. It's a heavy burden, but remember, we serve a God who is more than capable of carrying our loads with us. Let's pray together, shall we?

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, laying our concerns and fears at Your feet. We lift up our parents, now in their ### year, asking for Your divine guidance and wisdom. We need supernatural help, Lord. We need You to guide us to the best solution for their care, one that will bring them peace, security, and joy in their remaining years. We trust that You, in Your infinite wisdom, have a plan for them, and we ask that You reveal it to us.

We also lift up ourselves, Lord. We're feeling overwhelmed, anxious even. We need Your strength, Your peace, Your wisdom. Help us to manage our time well, to care for ourselves as we care for them. We need Your healing touch for our bodies and minds. We trust in You, Lord. We know that You are faithful, and that You will not leave us to face this alone.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
