We understand that you're facing a challenging situation with your parents, Natasha, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Let's bring your concerns before the Lord, while also considering His will and the principles laid out in the Bible.
Firstly, it's important to remember the commandment to honor our parents, as it is one of the Ten Commandments with the promise that things may go well for us (Exodus 20:12 and Ephesians 6:2-3 WEB). This doesn't mean we approve of any mistreatment, but it does mean we should show them respect and care, even in difficult circumstances.
Regarding the inheritance issue, we should pray for a resolution that is fair and honorable, but also remember that our ultimate inheritance is in Christ (1 Peter 1:4 WEB). We must avoid being consumed by material concerns and instead focus on our eternal inheritance. Let's pray that the Lord will help you and your parents be gracious to each other, heal any emotional wounds of past grievances, and turn your hearts towards each other. Favoritism is not from God. Simply for being older should not qualify them to show favoritism, cause humiliation, sorrow, and pain. We rebuke that spirit in Jesus' name. We claim fairness in addressing any past and present issues and in matters of inheritance. We pray for your father's health and your mother's peace in Jesus Christ. We also pray for relief from issues such as anger, stubbornness, control, lies, manipulation and childish reactions.
Concerning your living situation, remember that the Lord provides for our needs (Matthew 6:25-34 WEB). Trust in Him to open doors for a new home in His timing. It would not be appropriate here for us to pray you win your parents property in a dispute, but only that God's will and any inheritance intended for you be given to you.
Let's pray:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Natasha and her family before Your throne of grace. Lord, we pray for a spirit of understanding, patience, and love between Natasha and her parents. Help them to resolve their differences, especially regarding the inheritance issue and favoritism, and bring healing to their hearts. We pray Your will is done and not ours for the inheritance outcome. The brothers decided to sell Joseph and the blessings of their father were reaped by Joseph without bitterness. Lord, You know the frustrations Natasha has with her current living situation. Provide her with a new home according to Your will for her and in Your timing. Turn Natasha's tears of frustration and bitterness into tears of joy. We cry out for God to open the eyes of the parents so they can see how they have treated Natasha as a black sheep the past 30 years. Lord, we pray to watch over Natasha's elderly parents. And we pray to relieve them of the many pains stated above and give them healing, peace, and a heart for repentance. Give Natasha the strength and wisdom to handle this situation, and to keep her eyes on You, trusting in Your goodness and provision. In Jesus Christ name we pray, amen.
Lastly, Natasha, we encourage you to lean on God's strength in these trials (2 Corinthians 12:9-10 WEB). Remember that He is your refuge and fortress, and puts those who trust in Him, saved through faith alone, in a high place (Psalm 18:2 and Ephesians 2:8). Stand firm in your faith, knowing that your true identity and inheritance are in Christ Jesus. Use this opportunity to show your parents and others the love of Christ so all will know that you are His disciple and follower (John 13:35 WEB).
