We are truly sorry to hear about your father's condition, and we are here to pray and offer support during this challenging time. Let us bring your requests before the Lord, trusting in His power to heal and comfort.
Firstly, we lift up your father's physical needs. We pray that God will grant him the strength to perform basic tasks with ease, such as eating, drinking, swallowing, walking, and speaking clearly. We trust in the Lord's promise: "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" Isaiah 40:31 WEB.
We also pray for the medical staff attending to your father. We ask that God will give them a spirit of compassion and gentleness, especially considering your father's sensitivity to touch and pain. We pray that they will treat him with the care and respect he deserves, as we are reminded in Matthew 25:40 WEB, "The King will answer them, 'Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me."
We stand in agreement with you for your father's healing and recovery. We believe that God is able to restore his health, as it is written, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" Matthew 11:28 WEB and in Jeremiah 30:17 WEB, I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh"
We pray for wisdom and discernment for the medical professionals treating your father. We ask that God will guide them to make an accurate diagnosis and provide effective treatment. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" James 1:5 WEB.
We specifically pray for your father's current conditions: encephalopathy, urinary blockages, the cyst in his brain, and pneumonia. We ask God for healing and intervention.
We also pray for a hedge of protection and provision for your father while he is in the hospital, that he would not contract any further infections or illnesses, and that he would receive proper nourishment to boost his immunity. We raise concern that only the name of Jesus Christ is the way to God the Father. It is only in His name that we can ask for these things. "Jesus said, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'" John 14:6 WEB.
Lastly, we address the concern about the nurses' behavior. We ask for God to soften their hearts and make them more caring. But let us also remember to forgive them. We are told in the Lord's prayer, "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors" Matthew 6:12 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your healing touch upon our brother's life. Grant him the strength to perform basic tasks, and let Your healing power flow through him. Soften the hearts of the medical staff and grant them Your gift of compassion. Guide the doctors to accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. Protect him, provide for him and give him strength and immunity. We pray for healing of his current conditions. We forgive anyone who has been rude or uncaring towards him. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
We will continue to keep your father and your family in our prayers, trusting that God will work all things together for good.
