We are lifting up your father in prayer as he awaits his hiatal hernia surgery. We stand with you in asking God for favor and preferential treatment for your father and your family during this time. We pray that the surgery will go very well, with excellent results, and that your father will have a quick and smooth recovery.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine intervention and mercy upon our dear father. We pray for Your healing touch upon him as he undergoes surgery tomorrow. Guide the hands of the surgeons and the medical team, granting them wisdom and skill. We ask for a successful procedure, minimal pain, and a swift recovery.
Father, we also ask for Your protection over him in the hospital. Shield him from any evil or harm, and let Your peace and presence surround him. We pray for a good and sweet sleep for him, even in a shared room. Calm his spirit, and help him find rest and comfort despite the circumstances.
Lord, we know that You are our rest, and You will provide comfort. We need to be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to You. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Father, we also pray for our father's irritability and sensitivity. We know that a gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
We pray this in Jesus Christ's mighty name. We pray these things and know we have what we asked of You since we asked according to Your will.
In Jesus name, Amen.
As for you and your family, we encourage you to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Keep your minds on things above, not on things on the earth. Set your mind on the spirit, which is life and peace.
Lastly, we gently remind you to always include the name of Jesus Christ in your prayers, as it is by His name that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, through which we must be saved. If you have not already, place your trust in Jesus Christ for your salvation, believing that He died for your sins and rose again for your justification.
